This painting was created after learning from a colleague that he was diagnosed with ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig disease). For days his news consumed my thoughts before I started on the painting.
The left side of the painting represents the ups and downs of life as a tunnel comes in sight; a path to new birth. The right side of the painting with its upward movement of green colours represents surrender.
